Application Engineer, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate collaboration across various functions by collecting insights from subject matter experts (SMEs) and VPI teams.

• Impact product performance and quality by making well-informed choices regarding product selection, system design, and integration strategies customized for OEM applications.

• Enhance engineering processes by utilizing and refining tools to support thorough, data-driven decision-making.

• Serve as a reliable technical liaison for OEM customers, overseeing specifications and addressing complex installation challenges.

• Convert customer requirements into engineering solutions to incorporate the customer’s perspective into requirements and program decisions.

• Guarantee installation excellence through the validation of prototype performance.

• Promote innovation and continuous improvement by suggesting customer-oriented initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Conduct customer visits (20–40% of the time) for meetings, troubleshooting, and installation assessments in the Pointe-Claire region.

• Engage in hands-on technical tasks, including instrumentation installation, on-machine testing, and problem-solving.

• Possess extensive knowledge of diesel engines, including their components, subsystems, and operating principles.

• Be self-driven and proactive, with robust problem-solving capabilities.

• Travel is necessary for projects and meetings at the Pointe-Claire, QC branch.

• Occasional trips to the United States (1–2 weeks annually) for training and industry conferences may be required.

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential.

• Hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or be eligible to obtain one.
