Application Developer – Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, and implement software code while configuring and managing client hosting environments on both Linux and Windows platforms.

• Define the architecture for infrastructure services.

• Create automation modules for managing infrastructure environments.

• Facilitate deployment orchestration for business applications and services.

• Configure application servers, load balancers, proxy servers, VPCs, networks, and subnets.

• Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts that support CI/CD for Puppet and business application code.

• Evaluate and debug container services and applications.

• Assist with deployment orchestration in containerized environments.

• Aid operations teams in triaging bugs and troubleshooting production issues.

• Provide training, coaching, and support to engineering teams managing infrastructure and application configurations.

• Offer product vision, establish standards, and promote best practices for configuration management software.

• Engage in code reviews and design assessments.

• Execute other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess Public Trust clearance or the capability to obtain one.

• Puppet Certified Professional certification is required.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.

• Exposure to one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, .NET, or Python.

• Experience with GitHub or Git version control systems is necessary.

• Proficient in managing Linux and Windows infrastructure environments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies is a must.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and debugging are required.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
