This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct studies on workflows and analyze business practices.
• Examine and document current processes related to information technology solutions.
• Code, monitor, maintain, test, and debug software applications.
• Adhere to change management procedures.
• Facilitate code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Develop and implement test plans.
• Research and assess new technologies, products, specialized hardware, and tools.
• Provide recommendations to management and customers.
• Assist in ensuring team members fulfill assigned tasks and take corrective measures to remain on schedule.
• Support complex operational activities and recovery efforts.
• Coordinate with software vendors and external service providers.
• Troubleshoot escalated software bugs and offer solutions.
• Provide off-hours support as necessary.
• Foster customer service and uphold departmental standards.
• Instruct, mentor, and guide less experienced staff members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and/or experience may serve as a substitute for the minimum education requirement.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with .NET applications.
• Knowledge of application development and software development tools.
• Familiarity with Unix operating systems.
• Skills in technical analysis and problem-solving.
• Experience in data management.
• Ability to research new technologies and implement technology solutions.
• Capability to perform duties in alignment with WashU’s core mission and guiding principles.
• Willingness to travel to various on- and off-campus locations.
• Must successfully pass applicable pre-employment screening.
