Application Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Establish the comprehensive application and solution architectures essential for accommodating incoming customer initiatives and programs.

• Recognize and resolve architecturally significant modifications, completing architecture impact assessments.

• Develop technical documentation and deliver presentations of solutions to the Account Architecture Review Board (ARB).

• Allocate architecture resources across a range of projects and provide mentorship to junior staff within the architecture and project teams.

• Conduct final reviews of document deliverables intended for the customer.

• Expect regular engagement with various levels of leadership, including the Project Management Office (PMO), project teams, infrastructure and security teams, as well as the customer.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in application architecture and/or product development.

• Familiarity with architecture framework methodologies, such as TOGAF.

• Knowledge of software systems, applications, and the underlying infrastructure.

• Understanding of application design principles and product configurations.

• Proficiency in programming languages, databases, tools, operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.

• Experience with software development lifecycles and client requirements.

• Proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor less experienced personnel.

• Effective communication skills for interaction with customers, support staff, application development teams, and management.

• Strongly preferred – Experience in Enterprise Architecture within a Healthcare context.

• Experience driving Enterprise Architecture initiatives for large Accounts, including State and Federal Accounts.

• Ability to produce technical roadmaps, architecture diagrams, and supporting documentation.

• Experience conducting technical research, testing, and evaluation of complex IT systems.

• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile.
