This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop software utilizing unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, and design patterns.

• Provide solutions that comply with software architecture strategies, coding standards, and organizational policies and procedures as a member of a Scrum team.

• Safeguard, secure, and appropriately manage confidential Ascensus data.

• Analyze, implement, test, document, and maintain both new and existing software applications with minimal supervision.

• Aid in estimating and planning throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Contribute to organizational improvement strategies for people and processes.

• Collaborate with developers, quality engineers, operations engineers, and support engineers to ensure seamless deployment and ongoing operation.

• Engage in design discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist with other delegated tasks and projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software and systems development for small to medium-sized business environments.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages, technologies, and software platforms such as C#, Java, JavaScript, MS-SQL Server, and Sybase.

• At least 3 years of practical experience with C# or Java.

• Strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of design principles, including patterns, cohesion/coupling, and S.O.L.I.D.

• In-depth understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture and the development of RESTful services.

• Experience in writing clean and maintainable code by adhering to engineering best practices, including unit testing, continuous integration and deployment, automation, design patterns, and refactoring.

• Background in collaboration with developers, quality engineers, operations engineers, and support engineers.

• Experience in participating in design discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity or experience with Agile engineering practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration, and pair programming.

• Working knowledge of Python, C/C++, MySQL, Apache, Nginx, Redis, JavaScript, jQuery, and Knockout.js.

• Experience in open-source development.

• Understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, Apache, and HTTP proxies.

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

• Familiarity with legacy code.
