Business Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Define, align, and document client PLM roadmaps centered on PTC Windchill solutions across engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise landscapes.

• Facilitate new business initiatives and project expansion within current ArcherGrey engagements by pinpointing incremental value, broadening scope, and outlining subsequent phases of client Windchill roadmaps.

• Lead consulting teams in the planning, analysis, configuration, development, and testing of PTC Windchill solutions.

• Evaluate engineering, product development, and manufacturing business processes to uncover gaps, inefficiencies, redundancies, and steps that do not add value.

• Direct the analysis and documentation of customer functional and technical requirements.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of Windchill-based solutions.

• Assist in creating written specifications, including Functional Design Documents, System Architecture Documents, Integration Specifications, and Use Case Documents.

• Map customer engineering and product lifecycle processes to Windchill functionalities utilizing knowledge of PDMLink, MPMLink, Change Management, and Configuration Management modules.

• Provide updates on project status, risk management, and issue resolution to ArcherGrey leadership and client cross-functional stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship (mandatory).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience guiding clients in the design, architecture, and implementation of PTC Windchill or similar enterprise PLM platforms.

• Demonstrated consulting experience in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, or high-tech sectors.

• Extensive knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), product development, change management, configuration management, and digital thread methodologies.

• Experience in leading client-facing teams and complex PLM programs with executive-level stakeholders.

• Willingness to undertake a significant amount of overnight travel (approximately 50%).
