This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Oversee enterprise data and API integration initiatives.
• Establish standards for design, development, quality, and testing processes.
• Design and articulate the architecture for enterprise-wide databases.
• Create database architectures, schemas, analytic platforms, BI services, and data governance frameworks.
• Gather information and analyze requirements.
• Translate business, user, and technical needs into architectural designs.
• Align business objectives with project benefits, priorities, components, and system features.
• Evaluate existing systems, applications, and services.
• Identify potential solutions and options.
• Maintain and monitor architecture throughout the systems lifecycle.
• Estimate and size network infrastructure according to system and business application requirements.
• Contribute to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management efforts.
• Prepare system documentation and deliver presentations.
• Lead development teams and oversee development processes.
• Select and assess technologies for implementation.
• Gather and analyze system metrics.
• Optimize systems considering performance, security, and quality aspects.
• Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture repository and manage necessary artifacts.
• Security Clearance: Required (security screening process must be initiated within the first 45 days of assignment).
• Minimum education level: Level 7.
• Minimum English language proficiency (CEFR): B2.
• Minimum relevant IT professional experience: 8 years.
• Minimum experience in a similar role: 5 years in relevant IT positions.
• At least 2 certifications from the following: Iasa Architect CITA-A or equivalent, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals or equivalent, TIBCO Certified Associate or equivalent, Certified SOA Architect or equivalent.
• Experience as a key architect in the development of at least one enterprise-wide integration platform deployment.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an application architect, preferably within public sector or EU agencies.
• Expertise in systems integration at the data and API levels.
• Proficient in designing enterprise-level integration platform connectors, flows, and service bus solutions.
• Expertise in planning capacity and security for integration platform capabilities.
• Familiar with integration patterns, standards, and models.
• Knowledgeable about serverless and containerization platforms in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Holds strong technical understanding of integration platforms such as Tibco or Mulesoft, SOA, databases, application servers, communication middleware, web applications, cloud integration patterns, business intelligence concepts, systems integration, and Software Development Lifecycle.
• Solid knowledge of designing systems and applications using UML.
• Familiar with the DevSecOps approach.
• Extensive experience in aligning application development with business requirements.
• Proficient with systems modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect, or others.
• Familiar with market-wide architectural design standards or frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, Azure Well-Architected Framework, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid systems and applications integration.
• Experience in modeling with Archimate.
• Familiarity with the European Interoperability Framework or other inter-institutional frameworks.
