Appeals Specialist – Hospital Billing, Underpayments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage with insurance providers regarding underpaid claims via telephone; carry out follow-up actions as instructed.

• Investigate claim discrepancies within hospital patient accounting systems (EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, Athena).

• Prepare appeals for insurance carriers concerning denied or underpaid claims.

• Examine claim details, including coding, billing, and insurance data for any inconsistencies.

• Process claims data using various pricing software.

• Experience in hospital billing is essential.
