📋 Description

• The API Developer/Data Engineering Managing (Lead) Consultant acts as a trusted advisor and delivery lead for AI and Data initiatives.

• This position is responsible for solution strategy, supervising delivery teams, crafting technical solutions, and collaborating with clients to achieve measurable business results.

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of data integration and API solutions across related data platforms.

• Design and implement comprehensive data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery of both structured and unstructured data.

• Create and maintain ontology models, data schemas, and relationships to facilitate analytics, search, and operational use cases.

• Integrate data from various systems and platforms (e.g., cloud storage, APIs, analytics environments) utilizing scalable and secure methodologies.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams (data engineering, analytics, product, and security) to ensure seamless system interoperability and data integrity.

• Establish data validation, quality assurance, and governance procedures (e.g., completeness checks, schema validation, metadata integrity).

• Assist in the development of AI-enabled functionalities (e.g., semantic search, entity resolution, analytics) by enabling high-quality, structured data pipelines.

• Function within an Agile delivery framework, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story creation, and iterative technical solution delivery.

• Convert business and mission requirements into technical specifications and scalable integration designs.

• Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and audit standards, including role-based access controls, logging, and data protection protocols.

• Lead technical design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a technical guide within a matrixed team atmosphere.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• As per our contractual obligations, candidates must reside in the United States and be U.S. Citizens.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance.

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, system integration, or platform engineering roles.

• Proficient in Python, Java/JavaScript, .NET (C#), RESTful APIs, XML, and possess strong SQL capabilities (including SQL Server).

• Expertise in Java/JavaScript, .NET (C#), RESTful APIs, XML for data transformation, querying, and API development.

• Experienced in working with various data structure formats (CSV/TXT, JSON, XML, Parquet, etc.).

• Strong practical experience in API development and integration, including:

• - Constructing and managing data pipelines.

• - Developing ontology/data models and mapping relationships.

• - Integrating data across diverse systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially GCP) for scalable data transformation, enrichment, and analytics processes.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, schema alignment, and metadata management across integrated systems.

• Experience applying data quality, validation, and governance measures.

• Knowledge of cloud security and access controls, including IAM, encryption, and audit logging.

• Proven track record of leading technical workstreams, mentoring junior personnel, and collaborating across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
