API Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet targets and enhance growth within the designated territory;

• Engage and initiate API partnerships with potential and existing collaborators while supporting ongoing API client accounts;

• Follow up with current partners to offer system training and identify opportunities for improving collaboration;

• Establish and maintain robust, long-term relationships with new API partners;

• Prepare, implement, and oversee commercial agreements with partners, including necessary documentation and technical setup;

• Manage accounts until the initial purchase is completed;

• Handle account management for a designated portfolio of partners, providing first-level support;

• Monitor compliance with commercial terms by partners, including payment processes;

• Allocate approximately 30% of working hours to business travel, including client meetings, industry events, and other business-related activities;

• Conduct market and competitive analysis;

• Provide regular, detailed reports through CRM and internal systems;

• Collaborate on the API sales pipeline from qualification to signed agreement, maintaining a strong focus on closing API partnerships.

• Assess technical and commercial readiness of potential partners and guide them through a structured API sales process.

• Present ROI-focused API value propositions tailored to partner business models, emphasizing efficiency, supply depth, and profitability.

• Work closely with API onboarding and technical teams to expedite integration timelines and eliminate obstacles that delay activation.

• Monitor and manage KPIs related to API deal progression, contract execution speed, and activation success rates.


⛳️ Requirements

• **Relevant Experience.** A minimum of 2 years of successful experience in sales management or business development for B2B companies within the travel sector; proven success in closing API, SaaS, or technology integration commercial agreements in the travel industry;

• **Market Knowledge.** Comprehensive understanding of the travel market in the region, including B2B travel networks (tour operators, travel agencies, travel management companies, OTAs), particularly API-driven distribution frameworks;

• **Strong understanding of API connectivity,** including commercial models, performance KPIs, and integration prerequisites;

• **Language proficiency.** Fluent in English and Portuguese; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

• **Travel Flexibility.** Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time;

• **Analytical skills.** Experienced in data-driven decision-making, metrics-oriented, and comfortable with numbers;

• **Personal attributes.** Proactive, ambitious, motivated, action-oriented, results-driven, enthusiastic about innovative technology, adaptable to fast-paced business environments, and a team player;

• Ability to **communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders** and convert business needs into API use cases.

• **Global Perspective.** Capability to understand and operate across diverse cultural contexts, reflecting ETG’s international presence;

• **API Competence.** Expertise in API technology agreements and managing API client relationships.

• Proven **ability to handle multiple API negotiations** simultaneously, focusing on closing speed and revenue generation.

• **Work Authorization.** Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Brazil.
