Animatic Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Developing and enhancing animatics from storyboards into engaging narrative sequences, focusing on timing, flow, and shot consistency.

• Supervising the editorial workflow from animatic creation to final output.

• Managing multiple episodes simultaneously while multitasking effectively.

• Incorporating temporary and final dialogue, sound effects, and music to create rhythm, comedic timing, and emotional impact.

• Collaborating closely with Showrunners to identify and implement changes that enhance story structure, pacing, and overall narrative coherence.

• Ensuring continuity and visual consistency across all sequences and episodes.

• Liaising with the Production, Editorial, and Post teams to synchronize file updates and timing adjustments.

• Partnering with Production to monitor deliverables and adhere to deadlines.

• Organizing and maintaining editorial databases and file systems.

• Performing additional tasks as needed to support the editorial team and ensure smooth production operations.

• Undertaking any other responsibilities reasonably assigned by the Company.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Animatic Editor/Editor.

• Strong comprehension of story structure, comedic timing, and cinematic techniques.

• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere.

• Familiarity with importing, exporting, and managing editorial materials.

• A self-driven team player capable of thriving in collaborative settings as well as working independently.

• A proactive attitude, embracing tasks of any size with enthusiasm.

• Keen attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality work.

• Knowledge of AVID Media Composer, After Effects, Toonboom Storyboard Pro, and Autodesk Shotgrid.
