Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Android applications that support BJAK's insurance and financial offerings.

• Participate in the creation of features that utilize automation and AI-driven functionalities to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with a global engineering team to construct dependable, scalable native mobile systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in native Android development with Kotlin.

• Extensive experience in building and deploying production-level Android applications.

• Strong grasp of Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines, Flow, and contemporary Android architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture).

• In-depth knowledge of the Android lifecycle, performance optimization, and best practices for native platforms.

• Proficient in integrating REST APIs and troubleshooting production issues.

• Able to work independently within a distributed remote engineering team.

• Demonstrates high ownership, rapid execution, and a keen focus on engineering quality.

• Links to GitHub, Google Play, or examples of completed native Android applications are highly encouraged.

• More than 3 years of professional Android software engineering experience using Kotlin.

• Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining production Android applications.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, mobile architecture, and clean code practices.

• Familiarity with integrating REST APIs and resolving production issues.

• Comfortable working in a fully remote, distributed engineering environment.

• High ownership, swift execution, and dedication to engineering excellence.

• Examples of shipped applications or links to GitHub, Google Play are highly preferred.
