This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

• Create, develop, and sustain high-performance native Android applications utilizing Kotlin.

• Craft user-friendly experiences in areas such as insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and financial services.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to provide seamless native mobile experiences.

• Incorporate backend APIs while maintaining application stability, responsiveness, and scalability.

• Enhance app startup speed, rendering performance, ANR rates, crash rates, memory usage, and battery efficiency.

• Continuously elevate code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Develop AI-enhanced native mobile experiences that genuinely benefit users.

• Keep abreast of the latest Android platform features and suggest enhancements to improve product quality.

• Over 3 years of experience in native Android development with Kotlin.

• Extensive experience in building and deploying production-level Android applications.

• Strong grasp of Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines, Flow, and contemporary Android architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture).

• In-depth knowledge of the Android lifecycle, performance optimization, and best practices for the native platform.

• Experience with REST API integration and troubleshooting production issues.

• Ability to work independently within a distributed remote engineering team.

• High ownership, rapid execution, and a keen focus on engineering quality.

• Links to GitHub, Google Play, or examples of deployed native Android applications are strongly preferred.
