📋 Description

• Contribute significantly to the migration from Looker to Power BI by recreating vital dashboards and ensuring accurate reporting across different platforms.

• Conduct data validation between Looker and Power BI to maintain consistency and accuracy in metrics, logic, and filters.

• Aid in the creation and maintenance of dbt tests (both schema and data tests) to identify upstream data quality problems before they impact the reporting layer.

• Offer ad-hoc assistance for current dashboards, resolving data discrepancies and addressing custom visualization requests.

• Develop well-structured, documented data models and enhance SQL queries to boost dashboard performance and minimize refresh times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a co-op program at a post-secondary institution, focusing on Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including comfort with complex joins, window functions, and common table expressions (CTEs).

• Familiarity with Power BI, Looker, or other business intelligence tools.

• Basic knowledge of data transformation and testing tools such as dbt.

• Understanding of data quality frameworks or automated testing methodologies for data pipelines.
