Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and collaborate with business stakeholders to design our data warehouse model.

• Clean, transform, and enhance data to produce high-quality datasets that are suitable for analysis and machine learning.

• Collaborate closely with product teams, software developers, data scientists, and analysts to comprehend data requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all datasets.

• Optimize data processes for improved performance and scalability.

• Maintain thorough documentation of transformation logic and data lineage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or in a comparable role.

• Excellent communication skills: Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences to translate business requirements into data models.

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and solutions (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).

• Experience in modern data modeling practices, particularly dimensional modeling.

• Proficiency in SQL and a basic understanding of Python.

• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi, DBT).

• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience working with data for ML model training.

• Enthusiasm for cutting-edge analytical tools, including Large Language Models and Prompt Engineering.
