Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement production dbt models on Databricks to serve as the definitive source of truth for the business.

• Facilitate external reporting by ensuring the availability of accurate and governed data.

• Maintain data quality through comprehensive testing, CI/CD practices, documentation, and collaborative team efforts.

• Create and enhance Databricks dashboards and semantic metrics to empower self-service options.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and analytics stakeholders to produce sustainable data products.

• Lead AI-driven workflows utilizing tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar alternatives.

• Develop models and documentation that are accessible to LLM consumers, agents, and analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in analytics engineering or a related field, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of production models.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Extensive experience with dbt, covering architecture, incremental models, testing, macros, and CI/CD.

• Strong background in Databricks BI or equivalent semantic-layer delivery.

• Regular hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.

• Capability to rigorously assess AI-generated outputs and design data suitable for both humans and agents.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous startup environments, working effectively with incomplete specifications.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

• An ownership mentality with a knack for identifying and resolving issues.

• Familiarity with contemporary software engineering practices.

• Authorized to work legally in the United States.
