This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Collaborate with Product and GTM (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance) teams to transform ambiguous inquiries and operational requirements into actionable metrics, models, analyses, and workflows.
• Develop and sustain dbt models and pipelines that yield reliable insights into the product, customers, and business operations.
• Create clear, maintainable data models while enhancing testing, documentation, performance, and reliability of the data infrastructure.
• Design and implement dashboards and self-service reporting tools in Metabase and Hex, providing deeper analysis as necessary.
• Operationalize data through reverse ETL and collaborate with GTM Engineering on scoring, segmentation, automation, and internal tools.
• Balance the need for swift, pragmatic answers with the creation of durable, reusable models and workflows.
• Utilize emerging tools, LLMs, and coding agents to expedite development, analysis, testing, and documentation while ensuring accuracy.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or data engineering, preferably within a rapidly evolving software company.
• Outstanding SQL proficiency and significant hands-on experience with dbt and a modern cloud data warehouse.
• Proven history of managing data projects from inception to completion, transforming ambiguous challenges into dependable solutions.
• Strong judgment in data modeling, including considerations for grain, reusable components, interfaces, dependencies, and maintainability.
• Analytical acumen to discern when to provide quick answers, conduct thorough investigations, and translate intricate findings into straightforward recommendations.
• Ability to navigate between technical implementation and business context seamlessly.
• High ownership mentality: self-driven, practical, and willing to question requests or methodologies when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating directly with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficient in utilizing LLMs and coding agents in daily development workflows.
• Quick learner, capable of working across the entire data lifecycle.
• Experience with or ability to adapt to tools such as Snowflake, dbt Cloud, Metabase, Hex, Hevo, Fivetran, HubSpot, Pocus, and Clay.
• Must reside in North America.
• Must be in a US-equivalent timezone.
