Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of BeReal’s product analytics layer from start to finish.

• Develop and implement BeReal’s product analytics strategy, ensuring alignment of modeling, observability, and tools with product objectives.

• Work closely with Product Managers to convert product loops, retention strategies, and experimentation requirements into scalable data models.

• Create and launch AI-driven internal analytics tools that empower stakeholders to query data using natural language.

• Manage the integration of BigQuery, Amplitude, and our experimentation framework to maintain a single source of truth for metrics.

• Design and oversee a self-service metrics layer that allows PMs to independently analyze funnels and experiments.

• Develop production-grade dbt models and enhance SQL transformations for reliability, performance, and scalability.

• Conduct technical reviews and set best practices for analytics engineering.

• Collaborate with Backend and Mobile teams to ensure robust and analytics-ready instrumentation from day one.

• Oversee data quality and observability to ensure confidence in product metrics and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess expertise in analytics engineering or product analytics.

• You have over 7 years of experience in analytics engineering, product analytics, or comparable data-driven roles.

• Extensive knowledge of SQL, dbt, and BigQuery.

• Strong skills with product analytics tools such as Amplitude.

• Experience in constructing scalable data models and self-service analytics frameworks.

• Proficiency in Python and/or Go.

• Strong product intuition and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers.

• A hands-on, independent, and results-driven approach.

• Capability to balance technical excellence with business outcomes.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

• You are fluent in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
