This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and enhance analytical data models along with low to medium complexity reports, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
• Integrate new data sources into current analytical frameworks.
• Develop, modify, and sustain DAX measures, Power Query/M transformations, and semantic models within Power BI.
• Establish and uphold connections between tables, facts, dimensions, granularity, and security protocols such as RLS and OLS.
• Conduct data cleaning, standardization, and preparation for analytical usage.
• Assist in monitoring pipelines, refresh cycles, and data orchestration workflows.
• Implement basic optimizations to models, reports, and queries to enhance performance and usability.
• Oversee user access to reports and datasets, providing support as necessary.
• Collaborate with business, data, and technology teams to ensure that deliverables meet product requirements.
• Engage in tribe/team activities, contributing to process enhancements, documentation, and best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Technology, Data, Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, or related disciplines.
• Prior experience in BI, Analytics, Data, or Analytical Engineering.
• Practical experience with SQL, data modeling, and the development of analytical solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Familiarity with code versioning and development best practices.
• Experience in SQL, data modeling, and data preparation and transformation in analytical settings.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling principles: facts, dimensions, granularity, relationships, and redundancy resolution.
• Knowledge of Power BI semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query/M, RLS, OLS, and report and dataset construction.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Azure, Data Lake, medallion architecture, data pipelines, and Data Lakehouse concepts.
• Familiarity with Git, branches, Pull Requests, and the merge/release processes.
• Comprehension of BI performance and optimization tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and Performance Analyzer.
• Awareness of data governance and security practices, including access control, permissions, traceability, and data quality.
• Differentiators include experience with dbt, Databricks, Fabric or similar platforms; Delta Lake; Azure Data Lake Storage; Blob Storage; SQL tuning; stored procedures; views; indexes; data catalog, lineage, and governance tools; Python or PySpark; Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Metabase, or MicroStrategy; and the ability to translate business requirements into models, metrics, dashboards, and actionable insights.
