AMC Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct individualized online math lessons aimed at preparing students for the AMC 8 and AMC 10 competitions.

• Instruct in English utilizing engaging and problem-solving techniques to cultivate robust analytical and logical thinking abilities in students.

• Lead students through competition-oriented problems while clarifying essential concepts and strategies utilized in math competitions.

• Assist students in developing systematic methods for tackling common math topics found in competitions, including number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry.

• Aid students in building confidence and effective strategies for test-taking in math competitions.

• Offer prompt feedback and focused guidance to enhance student comprehension and encourage ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher; preference for majors in Math, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.

• Highly preferred to have experience in math competitions or relevant tutoring/teaching experience in competitive settings.

• A strong foundation in mathematics; familiarity with competitions like AMC, AIME, or MathCounts is advantageous.

• Availability during weekday evenings and weekends is essential.

• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
