This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Serve as a voting member of the Board, guiding our budget, strategic direction, and overall organizational wellness.
• Participate in all quarterly Board meetings (4 in total, consisting of 2 virtual and 2 in-person).
• Assist in the development and direction of the organization's strategy.
• Actively engage and share your insights in one or more board committees, which currently include: Development/Nominating, Finance, and Program/Risk.
• Oversee the evaluation of the CEO's performance and review their compensation.
• Assess and monitor the health and effectiveness of the organization.
• Represent the organization positively in external settings.
• Take initiative to actively advocate for our mission in external environments.
• Aid the board and team in resource generation for the organization.
• Keep abreast of and responsive to trends affecting the organization.
• We seek alumni who are at least 25 years old and possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
• We are pleased to provide a stipend as compensation for our Alumni serving on the board. The stipend will amount to $1,500 for the first year, along with paid professional development opportunities to be collaboratively defined with the board member.
