This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Resolve challenges within accounts by providing customized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that align with shared priorities and product demand objectives.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office staff to meet customer needs and provide access support.
• Analyze market conditions, competitive landscapes, and cross-functional dynamics to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Utilize territory data and market trends to extract local insights and support pull-through initiatives.
• Lead engaging virtual and face-to-face interactions with customers.
• Organize planning sessions with key stakeholders to address complex challenges.
• Provide real-time access support in collaboration with Patient Specialty Services.
• Leverage digital tools and omni-channel strategies to tailor outreach efforts.
• Serve as the primary contact for accounts and Health Care Providers.
• Cultivate customer relationships, identify common goals, and connect customers with Novartis resources.
• Enhance patient outcomes through demand creation and strategic account engagement.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically diverse sales teams within the last 5 years; candidates from medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors are also eligible.
• For Territory Account Specialist level: a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a comparable sales role.
• For Senior Territory Account Specialist level: at least 5 years’ experience.
• For Executive Territory Account Specialist level: a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• For Associate level: recently transitioned from the US Military with 4+ years of military leadership experience or limited prior sales experience.
• Demonstrated history of consistent high performance.
• Experience selling to major accounts and key clients.
• Strong analytical skills to seek, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to resolve customer issues.
• Ethical leadership with a commitment to fostering ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographical area.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Ability to communicate clinical product information effectively.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment.
• Desirable: experience across various therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches.
• Desirable: knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill processes, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and medical interactions with HCPs.
