This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assemble and integrate spacecraft components, subsystems, and harnesses in accordance with engineering documentation and procedures.
• Conduct functional tests, electrical checks, and mechanical verifications on flight hardware.
• Assist with environmental testing activities, including vibration, thermal‑vacuum, and EMC campaigns.
• Execute harness installation, routing, and termination adhering to high-reliability standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration challenges during AIT phases.
• Uphold cleanroom discipline, ensuring the proper handling of sensitive spacecraft hardware.
• Accurately complete test logs, integration reports, and non-conformance documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
• Operate test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque tools, crimping tools, and specialized AIT fixtures.
• Assist with mechanical assembly tasks, including bracket installation, fastener torquing, and structural integration.
• Adhere to strict ECSS-style procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards throughout all AIT activities.
• Work in collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration workflows.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of AIT processes, tooling, and documentation.
• Required experience in the space industry — hands-on work with spacecraft hardware, satellite subsystems, or high-reliability space components.
• Experience in performing AIT tasks on electrical, mechanical, or harness subsystems.
• Proficient in following detailed procedures, drawings, and integration instructions.
• Skilled in utilizing standard AIT tools and test equipment.
• Strong understanding of cleanroom practices and the handling of sensitive hardware.
• Ability to identify issues during integration and assist engineers in resolving them.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
