This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead and oversee all AIT activities associated with spacecraft subsystems, from the initial assembly phase to the final acceptance testing.
• Establish and uphold the AIT strategy, including workflows, schedules, and resource planning for the mission.
• Supervise a team of AIT Technicians and Engineers, offering daily guidance, task assignments, and technical oversight.
• Ensure that all integration and testing procedures adhere to high-reliability space standards, cleanroom protocols, and mission-specific requirements.
• Manage functional testing, electrical verification, mechanical integration, and subsystem-level validation processes.
• Spearhead test campaign planning, which includes vibration, thermal-vacuum, EMC, and environmental qualification activities.
• Review and sanction test procedures, integration plans, NCRs, and technical documentation.
• Serve as the main point of contact between AIT, systems engineering, avionics, mechanical engineering, and project management teams.
• Guarantee a seamless hardware flow from incoming inspection through to integration, testing, and final delivery.
• Required experience in the space industry — direct participation in spacecraft AIT, satellite assembly, or high-reliability space hardware integration.
• Demonstrated experience in leading AIT teams or supervising integration activities.
• Strong comprehension of spacecraft electrical, mechanical, and harness interfaces.
• Practical experience with functional testing, environmental testing, and subsystem validation.
• Capability to interpret engineering drawings, ICDs, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Experience in managing NCRs, test reports, and integration documentation.
• Excellent coordination abilities among multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of cleanroom practices, contamination control, and flight hardware handling.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
