Air Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance and support to teams delivering air permitting and compliance services on a national level.

• Participate in client-facing activities.

• Create and develop technical tools.

• Mentor and train staff members.

• Perform regulatory gap analyses to ensure adherence to legal and environmental standards.

• Assist in strategic permit planning to obtain necessary approvals for project execution.

• Prepare and submit permit applications in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Conduct multi-media environmental audits, assessments, and reporting to assess compliance status.

• Provide compliance support and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Aid in negotiations with regulatory agencies to address compliance issues and facilitate the permitting process.

• Engage in environmental liability and risk reduction through meticulous planning and efficient risk management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compliance and permitting or a related field is required.

• At least 10 years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance work, encompassing technical tasks, client interaction, and business development.

• Typically certified in the SMS Framework and progressing through the SMS competencies.

• A bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.

• Familiarity with local, state, and federal air emissions regulatory frameworks.

• Understanding of NSPS and NESHAP Federal regulatory programs.

• Capability to lead air dispersion modeling projects.
