• Drive growth in the Air Force market.
• Oversee all growth initiatives within the Air Force pipeline, crafting and implementing account strategies that position the company’s offerings as essential mission capabilities.
• Identify prospective mission challenges and formulate solutions.
• Collaborate with operational users, program offices, and mission leaders to comprehend emerging issues and tailor solutions that align the company’s platforms and capabilities to those requirements.
• Implement a solution-oriented sales strategy.
• Go beyond conventional opportunity tracking by generating demand through mission engagement, demonstrations, pilot projects, prototypes, and early adoption initiatives.
• Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities from initial mission engagement through capture and proposal phases across various acquisition pathways (SBIR, OTA, CSO, MAC, IDIQ, and other channels).
• Cultivate enduring and trusted strategic relationships across the Air Force, including operational units, acquisition offices, laboratories, and mission support entities.
• Collaborate closely with technology, capture, proposal teams, operations, and shared services to ensure opportunities are effectively shaped, resourced, and executed.
• Following initial successes, drive expansion within Air Force organizations by identifying additional mission users/applications and scaling adoption across commands and programs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Top Secret level security clearance.
• Over 10 years of experience in government contracting business development, capture, or mission engagement within the Department of Defense.
• Proven success in supporting or selling to Air Force organizations.
• Strong understanding of the Air Force structure, mission priorities, and procurement landscape.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DoD acquisition pathways, including OTAs, SBIR/STTR, and major contract vehicles.
• Experience in supporting or selling software, analytics, AI, modeling and simulation, cyber, or digital mission capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop pipeline and advance opportunities from initial mission engagement to contract award.
• Existing network within Air Force operational, acquisition, and innovation communities.
