AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Enhance the client's capabilities in computer vision, particularly in aerial image recognition.

• Develop solutions that incorporate object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Train, fine-tune, assess, and implement computer vision and machine learning models.

• Experiment with contemporary vision models, foundational models, and multimodal AI technologies.

• Investigate new AI methodologies and assess their potential benefits for the product.

• Rapidly create prototypes and validate innovative technical concepts.

• Enhance model accuracy, reliability, performance, and inference efficiency.

• Work with visual data to create data preparation, training, and evaluation pipelines.

• Explore LLMs, embeddings, vision-language models, and other cutting-edge AI technologies.

• Utilize AI coding tools and agents to expedite development, research, debugging, and prototyping.

• Identify opportunities for AI to enhance the overall product and user experience.

• Take responsibility for technical challenges from initial research through to implementation and deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of practical professional experience in AI/ML, computer vision, or a closely related domain.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Hands-on experience in constructing and refining real-world computer vision systems.

• Strong grasp of machine learning principles.

• Practical experience with PyTorch or another contemporary machine learning framework.

• Experience in object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Experience in training, fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying ML models.

• Familiarity with modern computer vision models and foundational models.

• Experience utilizing AI coding tools or agents for development, research, debugging, and rapid prototyping.

• Familiarity with LLMs, multimodal AI, embeddings, or vision-language models.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle open-ended technical challenges.

• Capability to swiftly transition from an idea or hypothesis to a functional prototype.

• Strong plus: experience with aerial, satellite, drone, or geospatial imagery.

• Strong plus: experience with LiDAR, point clouds, photogrammetry, depth estimation, or 3D reconstruction.

• Strong plus: previous experience in construction, property technology, mapping, robotics, or a related sector.

• Strong plus: experience deploying ML solutions in cloud environments.

• Strong plus: knowledge of GPU computing, inference optimization, or model performance enhancement.

• Strong plus: experience with OpenCV, C/C++, or MATLAB.
