AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot advanced agentic AI workflows.

• Construct and enhance retrieval-augmented generation systems.

• Launch and manage LLM-based services directly in production environments.

• Develop robust traditional machine learning models for tabular/structured data or NLP tasks.

• Produce idiomatic, clean, and production-ready Python code.

• Query, manipulate, and process structured data at scale utilizing complex SQL configurations.

• Engage in team rituals, maintain precise technical documentation, and promote a culture of collaborative learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as an ML Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or Software Developer, with a proven track record of delivering code to production.

• Exceptional proficiency in Python and extensive experience handling large-scale structured data using SQL.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in building and deploying live LLM-based or agentic systems for actual users (beyond mere internal prototypes).

• Strong foundation in traditional machine learning domains, with significant expertise in at least one area (tabular ML, NLP, or deep learning).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
