AI/ML Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Identify enhancements to the technology, organizations, processes, and tools utilized in the development of software products and services.

• Assist private equity firms and investment companies in evaluating technology strengths, risks, and improvement opportunities for potential investments through technical due diligence.

• Design and implement solutions from the ground up, including transformations using Agile methodologies.

• Guide and mentor junior software developers and engineers.

• Collaborate with internal and client technical leads and team members.

• Start as an apprentice consultant on the first two projects, then independently lead projects to successful completion.

• Participate in and spearhead AI assessment initiatives for investment companies.

• Create investor reports that outline technical investment risks.

• Engage in hands-on implementation projects to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

• Identify enhancements to existing AI technologies, organizations, processes, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, or analytical AI.

• Up-to-date knowledge of Generative AI.

• Experience as a Lead/Senior Scientist or in Lead Analytics/ML/AI roles at technology companies or consulting firms.

• Extensive expert-level experience in Data Science, including data mining, statistics, and machine learning.

• Expertise in analytical and generative AI.

• Skills in the evaluation and profiling of available data assets.

• Current understanding of the LLM landscape, including both commercial and open-source models.

• Proficiency in model selection, training, and fine-tuning.

• Knowledge of model efficacy metrics and bias management.

• Considerations regarding intellectual property.

• Familiarity with ML Ops and related tools.

• Understanding of cloud hosting and self-hosting options, including their economic implications.

• Experience with multi-modal AI across text, NLP/voice, images, and video.

• Knowledge of AI-enabled software engineering.

• Openness to learning new areas beyond the initial comfort zone.

• Ability to work autonomously from home or an office while collaborating remotely and in person.

• Advanced degree in computer science, statistics, advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, or AI.
