This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, develop, and sustain AI-driven workflow orchestration systems that enhance legal and operational procedures.
• Create integrations among AI platforms, CRMs, document automation tools, client portals, payment systems, and internal operational software.
• Construct automation pipelines and event-driven workflows for legal intake, document creation, communication, workflow routing, and escalation protocols.
• Collaborate with Legal Knowledge Engineers and Product Managers to convert legal workflows into scalable technical frameworks.
• Execute API integrations across external platforms and internal systems.
• Build systems for retrieval, prompt orchestration, and workflow execution that support AI agents and AI-assisted operations.
• Contribute to the design of scalable architectures for AI-enhanced client experiences and internal operational systems.
• Oversee workflow reliability, system performance, automation efficiency, and operational scalability.
• Diagnose automation failures, workflow bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
• Engage in planning for security, governance, auditability, and compliance related to AI workflows.
• Document workflow architectures, system logic, integration diagrams, and operational standards.
• Assess new automation technologies, orchestration frameworks, and AI infrastructure tools.
• A Bachelor’s degree or comparable practical experience in software engineering, computer science, information systems, automation engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in workflow automation, systems integration, software engineering, AI implementation, or automation architecture.
• Proficient in Python at a production level.
• Strong foundation in software engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, version control, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience in designing, developing, and optimizing AI agent workflows utilizing orchestration frameworks like LangGraph or LangChain.
• Familiarity with vector retrieval, LLM observability platforms such as LangFuse or LangSmith, and API/webhook integrations.
• Solid comprehension of APIs, workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, and systems integration.
• Experience with automation platforms, orchestration tools, or AI infrastructure frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Capacity to collaborate across functions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple complex projects in dynamic environments.
• Professional communication skills with employees, managers, leadership, attorneys, support personnel, and external partners.
• Capability to work independently while managing several priorities and deadlines.
• Proven attention to detail, reliability, organization, and follow-through.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Capacity to operate in a primarily computer-based environment, involving extended sitting, screen time, typing, and the use of standard office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and transport office equipment or materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or adjusted hours as necessary for onboarding, offboarding, or urgent operational requirements.
