This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Design, develop, and sustain AI-driven workflow orchestration systems that enhance legal and operational processes.
• Create integrations between AI platforms, customer relationship management systems, document automation solutions, client portals, payment systems, and internal operational tools.
• Construct automation pipelines and event-driven workflows to support legal intake, document generation, communications, workflow routing, and escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with Legal Knowledge Engineers and Product Managers to convert legal workflows into scalable technical architectures.
• Execute API integrations across external platforms and internal systems.
• Create retrieval, prompt orchestration, and workflow execution systems that facilitate AI agents and AI-assisted processes.
• Aid in designing scalable architectures for AI-enhanced client experiences and internal operational systems.
• Oversee workflow reliability, system performance, automation efficiency, and operational scalability.
• Diagnose automation failures, workflow bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
• Engage in security, governance, auditability, and compliance planning associated with AI workflows.
• Document workflow architectures, system logic, integration maps, and operational standards.
• Assess emerging automation technologies, orchestration frameworks, and AI infrastructure tools.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in software engineering, computer science, information systems, automation engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in workflow automation, systems integration, software engineering, AI implementation, or automation architecture.
• Proficiency in production-grade Python and strong software engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, version control, and CI/CD.
• Experience in designing, building, and optimizing AI agent workflows using orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain.
• Familiarity with vector retrieval and LLM observability platforms like LangFuse/LangSmith.
• Experience with API and webhook integrations.
• Solid understanding of APIs, workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, and systems integration.
• Background in automation platforms, orchestration tools, or AI infrastructure frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and systems-thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple complex projects in dynamic environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, LlamaIndex, vector databases, retrieval systems, workflow automation platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI governance, auditability, data security, confidentiality, conversational systems, or agent architectures.
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings or adjust hours as needed for onboarding, offboarding, or urgent operational requirements.
