AI Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority on the enterprise AI roadmap and engagements related to AI service packages.

• Lead the discovery process with clients and secure documented agreement on AI use cases, success metrics, and limitations prior to development.

• Convert AI possibilities into actionable, phased roadmaps.

• Provide clients with insights on AI capabilities, constraints, costs, accuracy, security, and speed.

• Collaborate with Solution Engineering during the transition from sales to delivery.

• Design and develop AI solutions that encompass model selection, API integration, prompt and agent design, and MCP server development.

• Ensure secure connections of AI to client data and schemas, focusing on data quality, access controls, and governance.

• Integrate AI features with Quickbase, Mendix, and bespoke web applications.

• Act as the primary technical authority and make architectural decisions on assigned projects.

• Establish standards for AI development, reusable patterns, and evaluation processes.

• Assess the quality of AI outputs through testing and evaluation, ensuring a human is involved when necessary.

• Revamp delivery methods to streamline requirements, data mapping, code generation, testing, and documentation efforts.

• Demonstrate AI-accelerated methodologies on actual client projects, evaluate outcomes, and make successful approaches replicable.

• Collaborate with PMO and Delivery Team Managers on estimating, staffing, and implementing quality practices.

• Create and disseminate tools, prompts, workflows, and templates for AI-accelerated development.

• Assist in developing VeilSun’s internal MCP integration between Claude and Quickbase.

• Enhance organizational expertise in RapidMiner AI Studio and AI Graph.

• Lead workshops, coaching sessions, mentoring, pairing, reviews, and practical AI enablement for Developers, PMs, and leadership.

• Contribute to the practice knowledge repository.

• Identify and escalate risks related to technical issues, data, security, scope, and client relationships.

• Achieve billable utilization targets and accurately size AI workstreams.

• Recognize AI use cases and opportunities for account growth.

• Assist in pre-sales technical discovery, AI readiness evaluations, and proof-of-concept development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development or technical consulting.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in AI solution delivery.

• Practical experience with LLM APIs like Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Google, including prompt design, tool utilization, and agent patterns.

• Experience in building or integrating MCP servers and linking AI to enterprise data sources, APIs, and database schemas.

• Proficient in at least one programming language commonly used for AI integration, such as Python or TypeScript.

• Background in data science, analytics, or AI modeling platforms.

• Willingness to deepen expertise in RapidMiner AI Studio and AI Graph; experience with similar tools is acceptable.

• Experience with low-code platforms, particularly Quickbase or Mendix, is highly advantageous.

• Proven experience leading client engagements from discovery through delivery in a consulting setting.

• Experience in designing and delivering technical training, workshops, or enablement initiatives.

• Working knowledge of AI governance, data privacy, and security standards.

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must currently reside in the United States.
