AI Solutions Lead – IP Legal, Patent Drafting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted consultant to patent and intellectual property professionals, guiding clients on how AI can enhance patent drafting, searching, prosecution, portfolio management, and innovation workflows.

• Assist in strategic customer interactions, workshops, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and enterprise initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams.

• Convert customer challenges and market demands into product improvements and scalable solutions.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape the future of AI-driven patent and IP workflows.

• Leverage real-world practitioner experience to influence product direction, prioritization, and workflow design.

• Define and validate new capabilities through customer feedback, testing, and pilot programs.

• Act as the subject matter expert in patent drafting, searching, prosecution, and innovation intelligence workflows.

• Support the creation of AI-powered solutions across patent intelligence, semantic search, knowledge discovery, and workflow automation.

• Remain at the forefront of advancements in patent AI, LegalTech, and innovation intelligence.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and client teams to drive successful product adoption and growth.

• Develop enablement materials, demo narratives, workflow playbooks, and best practices.

• Act as a liaison between customers, product teams, and commercial teams to ensure we create solutions that address real-world challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in drafting patent applications, preferably as a European Patent Attorney, trainee Patent Attorney, Patent Agent, or a similar IP professional.

• Strong knowledge of patent drafting, prosecution, and broader IP workflows.

• A genuine passion for technology and an inquisitive mindset regarding how AI can enhance the work of patent professionals.

• Enjoys engaging with clients and is adept at demonstrating solutions, rather than simply seeking a move into product roles.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to establish credibility with patent attorneys, IP teams, and leaders in innovation.

• Comfortable conducting product demonstrations, leading customer discussions, and translating complex workflows into actionable solutions.

• A business-oriented mindset with the capability to comprehend customer challenges and identify opportunities for value creation.

• Experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

• An interest in contributing to product development, not just utilizing existing products.

• Nice to Have:

• Experience with SaaS, LegalTech, IPTech, or AI-enhanced software products.

• Exposure to product management, product ownership, or workflow design.

• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, workflow automation, or emerging AI technologies.

• Experience assisting enterprise customers, software implementations, or intricate B2B workflows.
