This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Lead and expand a contemporary cybersecurity program that protects essential systems while facilitating swift digital progression.
• Function as a hands-on leader, influencing both strategy and implementation across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise settings.
• Collaborate closely with IT, engineering, and business units to integrate robust security practices into daily operations while constructing resilient systems that foster long-term infrastructure development.
• Define, manage, and enhance Intersect’s cybersecurity program to support a rapidly growing, cloud-first environment.
• Establish security policies, frameworks, and controls that align with business goals and industry best practices.
• Embed security considerations into system design, infrastructure, and operational processes.
• Implement and oversee security solutions across Okta, Google Workspace, GCP, SIEM platforms, and CrowdStrike.
• Take ownership of incident response procedures, steering the detection, investigation, and resolution of security events.
• Promote a culture of security awareness through training, communication, and collaboration across functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in cybersecurity within IT or corporate settings, including the development or scaling of security programs.
• Demonstrated capability to independently own and manage a cybersecurity function or program.
• Hands-on experience with Okta (IAM), SIEM platforms, Google Workspace security, GCP security tools, and CrowdStrike.
• Background in securing SaaS environments, including access governance and vendor risk management.
• Strong foundation in cloud and network security architecture, encompassing IAM frameworks and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage and respond to security incidents independently.
• Experience in supporting audits and aligning security practices with industry standards and frameworks.
• Ability to work across IT and operational systems to drive security outcomes effectively.
• Understanding of cybersecurity risks in cloud-first, scaling environments and strategies for maturing controls efficiently.
• Active participation in the cybersecurity community to stay updated on threats, tools, and best practices.
• A disciplined, ownership-oriented work ethic that fosters success as a primary security leader in a streamlined environment.
