AI Science Writer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create scientific and technical assessments of new AI models, architectures, research papers, in-house studies, and industry trends.

• Transform model architectures and intricate technical concepts into clear visual narratives utilizing infographics, diagrams, charts, and multimedia elements.

• Conduct interviews with researchers, engineers, founders, and scientific experts.

• Report on significant research conferences, emerging domains, and key discussions within the AI landscape.

• Draft and refine analytical reports, features, interviews, explainers, newsletters, webinar scripts, and social media content.

• Host or facilitate research webinars, interviews, and various on-camera formats.

• Collaborate with researchers to validate technical assertions while maintaining a distinct editorial voice.

• Partner with designers and multimedia producers to create complex visual narratives.

• Experiment with models, agents, coding, and automation to enhance research, editorial, and visual-production processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional or academic background in AI/ML research, machine learning engineering, or a closely related technical area.

• Degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, physics, engineering, computational science, or a similar technical discipline.

• Proficient in reading academic papers, analyzing model architectures, comparing outcomes, and discussing technical specifics with researchers.

• Strong visual intuition and capability to clarify technical mechanisms through diagrams, infographics, charts, or other multimedia formats.

• Skilled in writing with accuracy and style, leveraging LLMs to enhance the work instead of generating content independently.

• Authorized to work in the country of application and able to present proof of employment eligibility.
