AI Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and oversee the release calendar and timing across various programs and platforms.

• Strategically plan, schedule, and coordinate releases from start to finish, encompassing feature releases, patches, and hotfixes.

• Facilitate cross-functional release activities among engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.

• Establish and uphold release quality standards, ensuring adherence to governance, regulatory, and security requirements.

• Oversee deployment processes across development, staging, UAT, and production environments.

• Analyze release performance, conduct post-release evaluations, and drive initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Recognize and address release risks, ensuring stability and reliability throughout all deployments.

• Serve as the main point of contact for release communications, stakeholder updates, and management of escalations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in release management, DevOps, or software engineering operations in multi-team settings.

• Proven ability to manage platform or shared service releases across multiple concurrent workstreams.

• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and release orchestration tools.

• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience in regulated or governance-focused environments, ensuring compliance and readiness for audits.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities to coordinate with technical teams without direct authority.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and risk management skills, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
