AI Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the AI product roadmap across HCM, TSCM & VCPM product lines, taking ownership of the delivery of prioritized AI features and capabilities within those areas.

• Identify and assess opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into existing OneOcean solutions, prioritizing initiatives based on their impact on customers, technical feasibility, and commercial value.

• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to convert complex AI/ML concepts into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Engage directly with customers, end users, and internal maritime domain experts to gain a deep understanding of workflows, pain points, and opportunities where AI can facilitate measurable improvements.

• Advocate for a data-driven approach to product development by defining key metrics and success criteria for AI features and continuously measuring outcomes against them.

• Work alongside UX and design teams to ensure that AI-powered features are intuitive, transparent, and trusted by maritime professionals both on board and ashore.

• Stay informed about emerging trends in AI, large language models, predictive analytics, and maritime technology, incorporating outside perspectives into the OneOcean product strategy.

• Collaborate with commercial and go-to-market teams to articulate the value proposition of AI features, supporting efforts in pricing, positioning, and customer communication.

• Oversee the AI product lifecycle from ideation and discovery to delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure that responsible and ethical AI practices are integrated into all product development, including data governance, model transparency, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

• Contribute to cross-functional planning processes, including quarterly roadmap reviews, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Manager with a successful track record of delivering AI/ML-powered products or features in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software context.

• Solid understanding of AI and machine learning principles, encompassing supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics, and large language models.

• Ability to bridge the divide between technical data science teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into clear business language.

• Strong product discovery and user research skills, with experience in conducting customer interviews, synthesizing insights, and validating hypotheses.

• Data-driven mindset with experience in defining product KPIs, conducting experiments, and making evidence-based prioritization decisions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.

• Experience with agile product development methodologies.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and willing to operate across multiple product domains.

• Desirable: Experience in the maritime, shipping, logistics, or a related regulated industry.

• Familiarity with maritime operations including crew management, planned maintenance systems, voyage planning, or regulatory compliance workflows.

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools and platforms (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, cloud ML services like AWS SageMaker or Azure ML).

• Experience with responsible AI frameworks, model governance, and AI ethics within a commercial product context.

• Proven track record of launching AI features that have led to measurable customer and business outcomes.
