AI Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for user issues from start to finish: including problem understanding, architecture, backend and frontend development, and deployment.

• Assess the effectiveness of solutions in classroom settings.

• Create autonomous systems for paddy’s Agentic Operating System for Teaching & Learning.

• Deliver AI solutions to production in a reliable, swift, and cost-efficient manner.

• Design and manage contemporary web applications.

• Develop and implement systems for daily school operations.

• Collaborate closely with the founders as well as the Product and Engineering teams.

• Address real-world challenges and case studies, and showcase your findings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience in developing and managing modern web applications.

• Proficient in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React within a product team catering to actual users.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining LLM-based features or autonomous systems in a production environment.

• Familiarity with context windows, model failure modes, RAG, vector databases, and evaluations.

• Expertise in API design and both SQL and NoSQL databases, including vector databases.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

• Not narrowly focused; an emphasis on backend development and architecture is acceptable.

• Comfortable tackling loosely defined problems and devising straightforward solutions to intricate questions.

• Experience utilizing coding agents and modern AI tools.

• Fluent in German and highly proficient in English.
