AI Photography & Videography Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Leading the creative strategy for Canva's photography and video content, ensuring the development of a diverse, trend-setting, and genuinely beneficial library for our users.

• Implementing AI-driven methods for content creation: leveraging AI to produce, enhance, categorize, and scale photo and video assets that would traditionally take years to develop manually.

• Collaborating with the Content Studio's production teams, engineers, and product managers to create tools and workflows that facilitate large-scale content creation.

• Establishing quality benchmarks and creative vision for photography and video - overseeing shoots, evaluating assets, and ensuring that every piece aligns with Canva's standards.

• Contributing to the objectives of Canva's AI Template Marketplace, where photo and video content plays a vital role in bringing templates to life.

• Mentoring and guiding a team of photographers, videographers, and content producers to achieve their peak professional performance.

• You are an accomplished creative leader in photography and/or video, possessing a strong perspective on quality and artistry.

• You are genuinely enthusiastic about the impact of AI on content creation and have experience integrating AI tools into your workflow.

• You have previously led creative teams or specialized areas, with a proven ability to set direction and foster growth among team members.

• You comprehend the operational dynamics at platform scale, managing millions of assets utilized across numerous contexts.

• You are capable of balancing creative ambition with operational discipline, caring deeply about creating stunning work and delivering it effectively.

• You thrive in a cross-functional setting, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.
