AI Partner Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate with each function prior to any development — understand how tasks are completed, identify automatable workflows, and construct them utilizing the platform stack being developed by the team. The focus is on production adoption rather than a polished presentation.

• Set up and implement the End User Workbench for every function you assist — customized to reflect the actual workflow of that team, rather than a generic starting model.

• Define, create, and launch agentic workflows in operational settings across various business functions such as legal review, financial operations, marketing, HR, and revenue. These are fully functional workflows, not prototypes.

• Assess AI-native vendor offerings in conjunction with the functions you support — distinguishing real capabilities from hype and providing genuine recommendations on whether to build or buy solutions. If a viable option exists, suggest it. If not, create it.

• Collaborate with individuals on tangible problems until they can design, create, and manage their own agent workflows. Success is measured by when the teams you support can deliver results independently.

• Assist your partners in understanding agent ownership — guiding them on how to maintain a workflow when they lack prior software experience. You will address these questions through practical engagement rather than theoretical discussions.

• Provide feedback to the platform based on field insights. Your learnings will influence the evolution of the End User Workbench — in some instances, you may integrate solutions directly into it.

• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Security to ensure data boundaries are integrated into every workflow from the outset — rather than added later.

• Document successful strategies — including configuration templates, workflow patterns, and deployment methods that streamline future engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying technology solutions that operate in production — including agentic workflows and LLM-powered applications, or automation pipelines and tailored integrations for distinct business functions.

• Strong product management instincts combined with engineering execution. You possess the ability to identify what a non-technical team truly requires — beyond their immediate requests — and convert it into actionable build specifications.

• Excellent judgment regarding the AI vendor landscape — you remain informed about new developments, differentiate between real capabilities and marketing tactics, and can articulate and defend decisions regarding building versus buying solutions.

• Ability to establish trust with non-engineering teams and remain engaged through gradual, non-linear organizational transformations. You are patient but not passive.

• Effective communication skills in both directions — you can clarify agentic workflows to individuals with no coding experience and articulate the complexities of automating a business process to an engineer. Both messages must resonate.

• Comfort with uncertainty. The working model for this position is being developed in tandem with you — this energizes you rather than causes instability.

• Genuine understanding of the implications of working with sensitive data — including location, relationships, and minors. You consider data boundaries as integral design components, not mere compliance measures.

• A background that encompasses technical delivery and cross-functional collaboration — including solutions engineering, corporate IT, AI product development, or a combination thereof. The specific title is less important than the experience you bring.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
