AI Ops Lead – Forward Deploy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various teams at Mercury to gain an in-depth understanding of their work and pinpoint opportunities where AI can significantly enhance business outcomes.

• Work alongside functional leaders to establish a clear success metric prior to development.

• Develop and deploy AI-driven workflows, automations, and internal tools utilizing the existing AI Engineering platform.

• Conduct testing and iterations until the solution yields quantifiable results.

• Oversee change management processes, which include training, documentation, and ongoing support.

• Create sustainable handoffs with dependable tools, well-defined operating documentation, and accountable stakeholders.

• Formulate the AI Operations playbook, outlining the criteria for a successful embed, the duration it should span, and the essentials for effective handoffs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, product operations, or a similar role where you were responsible for a business outcome from start to finish.

• Practical experience in building with AI, including agents, workflows, automations, and internal tools.

• Capability to define an independent KPI, devise plans, and construct projects amid uncertainty, while defending them to a skeptical team leader.

• Proficiency with APIs, low-code and no-code development platforms, and SQL.

• Ability to communicate and advocate for tools in straightforward language to team members.
