AI Compute Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and manage the infrastructure that supports Mistral’s sovereign AI, encompassing Linux environments, cloud systems, and AI workloads.

• Diagnose and resolve incidents to maintain high availability, performance, and security for models, products, and computing platforms.

• Work collaboratively with research, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure systems meet both AI and customer requirements.

• Offer technical assistance to customers and internal teams, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and facilitating smooth operations.

• Investigate and contribute to cutting-edge cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes and GPU orchestration, as Mistral advances its sovereign AI platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Linux system administration at scale.

• Expertise in Slurm and/or Kubernetes for effective workload management.

• Knowledge of distributed storage, high-performance networking, cloud security, or GPU/AI/ML workloads is a plus.

• Capability to diagnose, articulate, and resolve technical issues for users utilizing Mistral’s AI solutions.

• A pragmatic, cooperative, and hands-on mindset.

• Willingness to spearhead modernization in a rapidly changing environment.
