AI Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assume operational responsibility for the configuration, reliability, and standards of Storyteller’s AI tools and platforms.

• Assist the AI Operations team in responding to changes in AI tools, platforms, models, or underlying capabilities.

• Establish, uphold, and enhance operational standards for the configuration, access, usage, and monitoring of AI tooling.

• Enhance visibility regarding AI tool configuration, platform usage, access administration, permissions, dependencies, and operational performance.

• Identify weak, unstable, or high-friction areas within our AI tooling setup and contribute to developing durable and scalable solutions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gauge the effectiveness of AI tooling, identify friction points, and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Provide leadership with clearer insights into the performance of the AI tooling stack, its vulnerabilities, and necessary platform or workflow adjustments.

• Ensure that Storyteller’s AI tooling remains effective, controlled, reliable, and aligned with actual business operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing or enhancing technical platforms, particularly AI tools, automation platforms, LLM-based tools, or AI-enabled workflows.

• High degree of agency and strong ownership of operational results.

• Solid technical judgment, particularly regarding AI tools, platform configurations, workflows, permissions, integrations, APIs, and dependencies.

• Comfort in making decisions within fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Ability to prioritize trade-offs within a technical tooling stack and take decisive action.

• A history of driving operational improvements to completion, rather than just identifying or suggesting them.

• Clear and direct communication skills, along with the confidence to maintain standards.

• A sincere interest in AI tools and a strong intuition for the rapid changes within the AI tooling landscape.

• Good judgment regarding when to act independently, seek input, and effectively bridge user needs with platform realities.

• Energy, discipline, and the ability to follow through to operate effectively without allowing important details to slip.
