This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Observe team members to analyze existing workflows and pinpoint areas of friction
• Revamp the expense requisition procedure and create a comprehensive written Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Develop a 30/60/90-day onboarding program for new staff at Girls Inc.
• Create AI-enhanced resource libraries and tailored onboarding checklists for specific roles
• Identify and address an operational challenge of your choice from a pre-approved selection
• Collaborate with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) as thought partners across all initiatives
• Deliver finalized systems to the organizational leadership at the conclusion of your term
• Must be enrolled at FIU in Women's & Gender Studies or a related field; seniors are encouraged to apply
• Preferred candidates are those taking WST 3700 (Introduction to FemTech) or WST 3721 (Data Literacy, Health, and Violence Prevention)
• A keen interest in AI tools and a readiness to learn — coding skills are not necessary
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in systems thinking
• Ability to work independently and manage projects with guidance
• Academic credit available through FIU Women's & Gender Studies
• A portfolio showcasing real operational systems you have developed
• Direct mentoring from the Chief Operating Officer (COO)
• Practical experience with AI tools that are transforming various industries
• A recommendation letter provided upon successful completion of the program
