This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Engage in AI / Machine Learning research, designing and deploying machine learning models across the domains of NLP, time-series forecasting, and event detection.
• Create LLM-driven systems (such as summarization, RAG pipelines, and embedding search) tailored for financial news and quantitative data.
• Develop model serving APIs and scalable inference layers utilizing Go or Python.
• Implement monitoring for models, drift detection, and pipelines for continuous retraining.
• Analyze financial text (including earnings call transcripts, filings, and news) to extract structured insights.
• Collaborate with data engineers to construct training datasets, feature stores, and embedding databases.
• Backend & Infrastructure Develop and sustain high-performance microservices in Python or Go that integrate with AI systems and Go data APIs.
• Design and enhance real-time inference pipelines on AWS, utilizing ECS/EKS, S3, and Lambda.
• Ensure the low-latency, fault-tolerant, and scalable delivery of AI-powered data.
• Implement CI/CD for machine learning workflows, covering containerization, automated deployment, and versioning.
• Partner with DevOps to oversee cloud infrastructure and guarantee robust observability for AI workloads.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in AI/ML or data engineering roles, demonstrating a successful history of deploying ML models in production.
• A degree in computer science (Bachelor's minimum).
• In-depth proficiency in Python (data, ML) and Go (backend, microservices).
• Practical experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• Familiarity with transformer architectures, embeddings, or fine-tuning of LLMs.
• Strong comprehension of data pipelines, feature extraction, and model lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, EC2).
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently within a distributed environment.
