AI Engineer – Voice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and develop AI voice agents and conversational voice applications that are ready for production.

• Incorporate STT, LLM, and TTS technologies into real-time voice processing pipelines.

• Establish integrations with Twilio, SIP, WebRTC, and LiveKit.

• Build backend services, APIs, WebSocket connections, and event-driven architectures.

• Implement RAG, function calling, tool utilization, memory management, and multi-step AI agent processes.

• Enhance voice applications for latency reduction, interruption handling, turn-taking, accuracy, and conversational quality.

• Connect voice agents with CRMs, databases, calendars, customer support systems, and external APIs.

• Create monitoring, logging, analytics, and evaluation systems for voice interactions.

• Evaluate and enhance transcription accuracy, response quality, TTS naturalness, and overall user experience.

• Deploy and sustain scalable AI services within cloud environments.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to convert requirements into voice AI solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of professional experience.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript.

• Experience in developing applications utilizing LLMs and generative AI APIs.

• Knowledgeable in Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech technologies.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, asynchronous programming, and real-time systems.

• Understanding of prompt engineering, function calling, AI agents, and RAG methodologies.

• Experience with relational and vector databases.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Strong skills in debugging, problem-solving, and software engineering.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, containerization, and best practices for production deployments.
