AI Engineer – LLM Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop innovative AI-driven product features from concept to deployment

• Enhance current AI workflows to improve quality, reliability, latency, and user value

• Design and execute LLM-based workflows, structured outputs, validation logic, and fallback mechanisms

• Create evaluation loops, tests, and quality assurance checks for AI-generated results

• Incorporate AI functionalities into existing product and backend systems

• Collaborate with both commercial and open-source LLMs without being restricted to any specific provider

• Facilitate self-hosted model workflows when advantageous for quality, speed, cost, or control

• Troubleshoot AI feature failures across inputs, outputs, data, backend logic, and user interactions

• Utilize AI development tools as an integral part of your daily work routine

• Deliver results swiftly while maintaining high production quality

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams while taking responsibility for outcomes

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in Python or a similar backend language

• Experience in developing AI-powered product features or LLM-based workflows

• Ability to swiftly convert ambiguous product concepts into functional software

• Strong grasp of designing, testing, validating, and enhancing AI outputs

• Experience in integrating AI workflows into production environments

• Excellent debugging skills across application logic, data, model outputs, and user-facing interactions

• Experience with evaluation, testing, validation, or quality assurance for AI-generated results

• Significant experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar in your daily workflow

• High intelligence, quick learning ability, proactive approach, and ownership mindset

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making rapid decisions, and thriving in a high-trust startup environment

• Proficient in written and spoken English

• Experience in frontend or fullstack product development

• Familiarity with self-hosted LLMs, model serving, inference optimization, or similar systems

• Experience with open-source LLMs and related deployment processes

• Proven track record of enhancing latency, cost, quality, or reliability of AI systems

• Background in healthcare software, healthcare data, or working within regulated environments

• Experience in structured data extraction, documentation automation, voice workflows, or workflow automation

• Proficiency in the German language

• Knowledge of nursing homes or workflows related to elderly care
