AI Engineer – III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive systems and frameworks for AI applications and products.

• Develop prototypes and minimum viable products to validate AI/ML solutions prior to allocating significant resources.

• Build, enhance, and deploy AI systems utilizing cloud services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, and Cognitive Services.

• Contribute to the development of robust data pipelines for model evolution and production systems.

• Formulate specifications for low latency APIs and services essential for deploying AI models and integrating them into applications.

• Oversee and maintain AI systems in production to ensure consistent model accuracy and reliability.

• Engage actively in a team that practices principled, agile-like development methodologies.

• Generate and uphold detailed documentation that aligns with team protocols, corporate policies, and expectations.

• Ensure peer review on all assigned tasks and conduct peer reviews on others' work when requested.

• Mentor junior AI engineers on AI/ML and industry best practices and methodologies.

• Stay updated on new tools and concepts through reading documentation or literature and actively enhance skills.

• Support and engage in meetings with external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or 2+ years of experience in a relevant, professional IT/analytics role.

• At least 3 years of industry experience in the development, deployment, and maintenance of AI or ML systems.

• Up to two years of industry experience may be replaced with an AI-focused Master’s/PhD or AI Engineering certifications.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing deep learning models utilizing TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLX, JAX, or other contemporary deep learning frameworks.

• Knowledge and experience in implementing ethical AI practices, with a minimum of 2 years spent on projects requiring explainable AI, fairness, and bias mitigation.

• At least 3 years of expertise in applying advanced prompt engineering techniques such as General Knowledge Prompting and ReAct.

• Proficient in using libraries like LangChain or OpenPrompt for complex projects.

• Capable of mitigating prompt injection attacks and employing tools like Guardrails or PromptInject to secure prompt engineering pipelines.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience successfully productionizing AI models, including the construction of scalable data pipelines and the establishment of robust monitoring systems.

• 3 or more years of experience working within Agile-like teams and environments.

• Experience in developing deep learning architectures such as CNNs, transformers, GANs, LSTMs, GNNs, Autoencoders, Diffusion Models, and Neural Ordinary Differential Equations (NODEs).
