AI Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create innovative GenAI solutions by utilizing the latest strategies from Databricks AI research to address customer challenges.

• Take charge of the production launches for both consumer-facing and internal GenAI applications.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor for clients across various sectors.

• Deliver presentations at events such as the Data + AI Summit, establishing yourself as a thought leader both within the organization and in the broader community.

• Work collaboratively across departments with product and engineering teams to inform priorities and help shape the product development roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning, and more, using tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy.

• Proficiency in deploying production-grade GenAI applications, focusing on evaluation and optimization processes.

• Several years of hands-on experience in the data science industry, utilizing standard machine learning and data science tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.

• Experience in creating production-grade machine learning deployments on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• A graduate degree in a quantitative field (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research) or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to communicate and/or teach technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

• A strong enthusiasm for teamwork, continuous learning, and generating business value through AI initiatives.

• [Preferred] Familiarity with the Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark™ for processing large-scale distributed datasets.

• Willingness to travel once every 4-8 weeks to meet with customers as required.
