AI Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Create innovative GenAI solutions by utilizing the most recent methodologies from Databricks AI research to address customer challenges.

• Take ownership of the production deployment of both consumer-facing and internal GenAI applications.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor to clients across diverse fields.

• Deliver presentations at events like the Data + AI Summit, recognized as a thought leader within and outside the organization.

• Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams to influence priorities and help shape the product roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning, and more, using tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy.

• Strong expertise in deploying production-grade GenAI applications, including assessment and optimizations.

• Several years of hands-on industry experience in data science, employing standard machine learning and data science tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.

• Experience in deploying production-quality machine learning applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• A graduate degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to communicate and/or educate both technical and non-technical audiences on complex concepts.

• A strong passion for collaboration, continuous learning, and generating business value through AI.

• [Preferred] Familiarity with the Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark™ for processing large-scale distributed datasets.

• Willingness to travel every 4-8 weeks to meet with customers as needed.
